INFORMATION ABOUT GARBAGE PICK UP
All household garbage will be picked up from the back door twice a week. All garbage must be placed in bags and/or containers (no heavier than 35 pounds). Each resident is responsible for purchasing and maintaining a garbage container. Please be sure all garbage containers are tightly covered or fastened to ensure wildlife cannot access your garbage.
Trash is defined as anything other than household garbage. Grass and leaves must be in bags strong enough to be picked up by the top and not over 35 pounds. Newspapers and magazines should be securely tied and not exceed 35 pounds. Normal tree limbs and branches shall be securely tied in bundles with lengths not exceeding four feet and weighing no more than 35 pounds. Trash and bags, totaling no more than six bags, will be picked up at the same location as garbage. Trash in excess of six bags or bundles should be deposited on the curb no sooner than the evening before collection date. Please do not leave bags and bundles at the curb site over the weekend.
Republic cannot pick up tires, construction debris, hazardous materials (i.e., paint containers, oil containers, gas tanks, aerosol cans, or any other container containing any type of pesticide). Additionally, they cannot pick up any appliance or equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioning equipment that contain refrigerants. Please note that electronics cannot be discarded because they are considered e-waste. Please note that heavy trash pick up is on your second trash pick up day as outlined below and all heavy trash items must be placed curbside the morning of your scheduled heavy trash pick-up.
INFORMATION ABOUT RECYCLING
River Oaks participates in back-door recycling through Republic Services. We ask that residents refrain from rolling recycling carts to curbside. Recycling containers are provided by Republic Services. If your property does not have a rolling poly-cart, please contact Republic Services using the form below. All recyclable items may be placed in the poly-cart--sorting is not required. If you have multiple boxes that need to be recycled, please flatten them so they may be easily removed.

*West of River Oaks Blvd. - Monday and Thursday - Heavy trash is picked up curbside on Thursday
*East of River Oaks Blvd. -Tuesday and Friday - Heavy trash is picked up curbside on Friday
Holiday Trash Collection Schedule
New Years Day (January 1st)
Memorial Day (Monday)
Independence Day (July 4th)
Labor Day (Monday)
Thanksgiving Day (Thursday)
Christmas Day (December 25th)
If a holiday falls on a Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday there is no change to the pick-up schedule.
However, if a holiday falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday then the following occurs:
Monday's Route is picked up on Tuesday and Tuesday's Route is picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are not affected.
Tuesday's Route is picked up on a Wednesday and there are no further changes.
Thursday's Route is picked up on Friday and Friday's Route is picked up Saturday.
Friday's Route is picked up on Saturday and there are no further changes.
